<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive colored resin composition so excellent in redissolubility that it does not cause defects due to foreign substances and uneven coating in a coating step in the manufacture of a color filter, a method for manufacturing a color filter using the same, and a color display device. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive colored resin composition comprises a solid component containing (A) a dye, (B) a resin, (C) a photopolymerizable compound and (D) a photopolymerization initiator and (E) an organic solvent component, wherein the organic solvent component (E) contains 5-80 mass% of diethylene glycol. The method for manufacturing a color filter includes a step of forming a colored image on a substrate using the photosensitive colored resin composition.
