PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing ink useful as an oil printing ink (an offset ink containing oil, a water-free lithographic ink and a typographic ink) which is used for offset printing and whose performance is not changed with the passage of time, and to provide a printing device equipped with recording and fixing means suitable for the ink and stably giving good printing qualities. SOLUTION: An ink 2 is transferred to a recording medium 1, and the ink- transferred surface of the recording medium 1 is subsequently brought into a solid member 11 exhibiting a property swollen with a solvent contained in the ink to fix the ink. Therein, it is preferable to heat the ink. The used ink contains an oil having an iodine value of <=100, a resin dissolved in the oil, and a solvent compatible with the resin, and is not deteriorated with the passage of time. The resin preferably comprises a rosin-modified phenolic resin, a rosin- modified ester resin, a petroleum resin, DCPD resin, an alkyd resin, etc. The solvent may be anyone of polar solvents and non-polar solvents such as aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones and alcohols, and is preferably a non-volatile solvent having a high boiling point of >=100 deg.C.
