A self-fusing and fire retardant silicon insulating tape is provided to show self-fusing property, fire retardancy and strong adhesive force, and to improve heat and cold resistance, weather resistance, ozone resistance, elongation, voltage withstanding, and water resistance. A method for manufacturing a self-fusing and fire retardant silicon insulating tape comprises (S1) a step for mixing dimethyl, methylvinyl siloxane 60~90 weight% dipped with dimethylvinyl, amorphous silica 8~30 weight%, poly dimethyl-siloxanes 1~10 weight% dipped with silanol, and boric acid 1~5 weight%; (S2) a step for extruding the raw material to a self-fusing and fire retardant silicon insulating tape having the thickness 0.3~2 mm and width 15~100 mm by using a T-die extruder; (S3) a step for heating the self-fusing and fire retardant silicon insulating tape in a continuous furnace; and (S4) a step for cooling the heated self-fusing and fire retardant silicon insulating tape at room temperature, laminating a polyethylene film having the thickness 0.02~0.04 mm and width 17~102 mm to be overlapped with at least with both side edge by at least 1mm, at one side of the tape, and winding the laminate to a pape pipe. |
