PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the leakage of an operation sound of an internal combustion engine to the outside of the internal combustion engine as noise, in the internal combustion engine having supercharger.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine comprises: a supercharger 19; a bypass passage 20 which bypasses the supercharger; a bypass valve 22 arranged in the bypass passage; an interrupting device 23 which switches connection and disconnection between the supercharger and a crankshaft; a variable valve timing mechanism A; and a control device 30 for controlling these items. When an engine load is lower than a first reference load, the control device sets the valve-closing timing of an intake valve to timing at which blowback is generated at intake air, and brings the interrupting device into a disconnected state. When the engine load is the first reference load or more, the control device sets the valve-closing timing of the intake valve to timing at which the blowback of an intake gas is not generated, and when the engine load is equal to more than a prescribed second reference load which is the first reference load or more, brings the interrupting device into a connected state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
