PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing a planting foundation material capable of effectively utilizing construction mud having been abandoned. SOLUTION: A dehydrate cake of mud to be produced in construction work is sintered at 600-800 deg.C and then, the particle size is adjusted such that the content of a gravel fraction having a particle size of not smaller than 2 mm is not more than 50% by weight ratio, and an organic compost and a chemical fertilizer are added thereto. If necessary, a pH stabilizing material is added to said dehydrated cake of mud before calcining. It is preferred that the organic compost is a material selected from a bark compost, droppings of domestic fowl, rice plant straws, rice hulls and removed weeds. |
