摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocatalyst carrier having a material adsorbing property and excellent decomposition efficiency, and to provide a production method of the photocatalyst carrier by which method the carrier can be obtained without decreasing the activity of a photocatalyst. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst carrier 1 is a carrier having photocatalytic particles 3 on and/or near the surface of a porous sintered body 2 formed by sintering a macromolecular polymer particulate matter 4 or a carrier having photocatalytic particles on and/or near the surface of a porous sintered body formed by sintering a mixture of plural kinds of particulate matters including the macromolecular polymer particulate matter 4. As a production method of the photocatalyst carrier, a method in which the macromolecular polymer particulate matter 4 carrying the photocatalytic particles 3 on and/or near its surface is sintered or a method in which plural particulate matters including at least one macromolecular polymer particulate matter and at least one particulate matter carrying the photocatalytic particles 3 on and/or near its surface are mixed and sintered can be used.
