PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire to facilitate sensing of lowering of an internal pressure by a driver and eliminate a need for a special internal pressure detecting device and an alarming device by generating pattern noise different from that available at a normal time during lowering of an internal pressure due to punctuation. SOLUTION: Throughout a portion extending from a shoulder part 8 making no contact with earth during running at an ordinary internal pressure but making contact with earth during running at a pressure lower than a given internal pressure to a buttress part 9, a peripheral pattern zone 10 in which a pattern noise different from that available at a normal time due to running in a road holding state is provided. The peripheral pattern zone 10 is formed that a number of grooves 11 are disposed therein at equal pitches in the peripheral direction of a tire so that pattern noise providing a frequency with a peak is generated.
