PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently dry dewatered sludge, further, to suppress the loss of heat quantity, e.g., caused by heat radiation in a drying step for dewatered sludge, thus to remarkably reduce the amount of used fossil fuel.SOLUTION: Organic dewatered sludge heated under pressure by a heater 9 and a control valve 11b is released into a flash tank 13 through the control valve 11b to reduce the pressure, cracking is caused, this dewatered sludge after the cracking treatment is subjected to indirect heating, when it is fed to the downstream side through a heat transfer tube in a heat exchange part 15b, so as to be dried, thus dry sludge is obtained. The obtained dry sludge is burnt by a burning apparatus 35 into burning residual ash so as to reduce the volume thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
