PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing method for a painting wherein on one surface, e.g. a scenery and articles which are seen this side are drawn, and on the other surface, e.g. a scenery and articles which are seen on the opposite side are drawn. SOLUTION: On both surfaces of a canvas 1 made of a textile, a foundation is respectively applied, and on one surface of the canvas 1, a composition 2 which is seen from one side is drawn, and while seeing through the composition 2 drawn on one surface of the canvas 1 under a state wherein light transmits the canvas 1, from the other surface side of the canvas 1, the contours which become the points of the composition 2 drawn on one surface are copied on the other surface. Then, on the other surface, a composition 3 which is seen on the opposite side from the composition 2 drawn on one surface, is drawn based on the copied contours.
