PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of reliability of the compressor due to deflection of the revolution preventing pin that stops revolution of the rotor (moving scroll member) in the scroll compressor. SOLUTION: A revolution preventing pin 15 is supported at both ends with one end inserted into a hole 13a in the compressor housing and the other end inserted into a hole 11a in the shell (fixed scroll member). As a result, the revolution preventing pin 15 does not easily deflect. Further the revolution preventing pin 15 is engaged to a revolution preventing hole 9c formed by penetrating a rotor bottom plate 9b. Even when the compressor is used as a refrigerating compressor in an air conditioner using, for example, carbon dioxide as refrigerant, and radius of the revolution circle of a rotor 9 is therefore small according to the low discharge capacity characterizing refrigerating compressors, diameter of the revolution preventing pin 15 or the revolution preventing hole 9c can be enlarged arbitrarily since it is sufficient if the revolution track of the center of the revolution preventing hole 9c matches the revolution circle. Strength of the revolution preventing mechanism increases, and reliability of the compressor improves, also in this respect.
