PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warm-air heater, simplified in the mounting structure of a fan guard and permitting the easy removal of the fan guard or a ventilating fan while permitting easy and safe cleaning work. SOLUTION: One side of a fan guard 3, covering a ventilating fan 2, is attached pivotally to the rear surface of a main body 1 through a hinge device 9 while a side opposed to the side, to which the hinge device 9 of the fan guard 3 is attached, is fixed to the rear surface of the main body 1 by thumb screws or a retaining means. On the other hand, a switch for detecting the opening and closing condition of the fan guard 3 is provided on the rear surface unit of the main body 1 and when the switch has detected the opened condition of the fan guard 3, the operation of an instrument and the rotation of a ventilating motor 4 are stopped.
