PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a required sound level by automatically controlling sound level of inputted video signals when it is too high or too low for reduced burden on an operator. SOLUTION: A volume controller 10 comprises a plurality of volume control means 15 which controls and outputs sound level of a plurality of inputted audio signal and video signal. It is provided with a fader controller 17 which automatically controls faders 16 for controlling sound level of the volume control means from a video equipment. The fader controller continuously increases or decreases a fader level with a preset time constant if the output level of a specified fader level is low or high over a specified time period (for example, 0.5 seconds or longer).
