<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system which reduces noise, power consumption, wear of parts, and delay of operation or the like by suppressing useless initial operation when powered on. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system includes an openable door, and is constituted so that a driving unit housed inside an apparatus can be inspected when the door is opened. The image forming system includes an initial operation means to perform initial operation of the driving unit, and a detection means to detect opening and closing of the door while powered OFF, when powered ON. When the power supply is OFF after the initial operation means performs the initial operation, and also the detection means does not detect opening and closing of the door yet, the initial operation means omits the initial operation when powered ON. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
