<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system with excellent energy efficiency and capable of sufficiently recovering moisture. <P>SOLUTION: A target temperature Td at which a water volume retained in the fuel cell system 1 is not decreased is decided from an outside air temperature Tair, an output current I[A] of a fuel cell stack 100, and a flow rate q of outside air flowing in, and a compressor 512 of an evaporator inside a condenser 51 is controlled so as to hit this target temperature Td.
