<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing scent, eliminating adaptation to a scent and substantially reducing the consumption of fragrance. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing scent is characterized in that the scent is pulse-injected into flowing air for infinitesimal time 12 at short time intervals. It is preferable that the infinitesimal time is 0.1-0.5 second, and it is preferable that the short time interval is 1.2-1.4.
