摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure actual vehicle normalized cornering power of a vehicle during a rectilinear propagation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A measurement plane 26A of a tire posture angle measuring jig 10 attached to a wheel of the vehicle during the rectilinear propagation is irradiated with two laser beams so as to measure a slip angle (a toe angle) of the tire. A lateral force and a load are measured by right and left wheel tread force measurement sensors 73, 75. The actual vehicle normalized cornering power Cp of the vehicle during the rectilinear propagation is obtained by dividing the cornering power Cp calculated from a regression expression based on the measured slip angle and lateral force by the load.
