<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new crimped yarn of nylon that is obtained from a plant-derived polymer as a raw material and provides a knitted or woven fabric with a firmness and stiffness feeling, and a method for efficiently producing the crimped yarn. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The crimped yarn of nylon 11 has a monomer of nylon 11 of less than 0.35% and has an initial modulus of elasticity of 18.0-40.0 cN/dtex, the ratio of stress increment at an initial distortion (at 5-10% elongation)/stress increment of minute distortion (at 0-5% elongation) of 0.6-0.9, and an elastic recovery percentage of elongation of not less than 50%. The method for producing the crimped yarn of nylon 11 includes subjecting a multifilament yarn of nylon 11 having a monomer of nylon 11 of less than 0.35% to false twisting under conditions of a false twist coefficient of 25,000-32,000, a heater temperature of 130-150°C, and an over feed ratio of -5 to +5%.
