PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a dry vibrating sieve in which time till the stabilization of sieve efficiency can be shortened after the change in frequency. SOLUTION: In a method of operating a dry vibrating sieve wherein when a ratio of prescribed grading or less of a dry vibrating sieve 6 becomes a preset object value or less, a differenceΔH between them is obtained, and in order to eliminate the differenceΔH, the frequency of the dry vibrating sieve 6 is determined, and with the determined frequency, the dry vibrating sieve is operated, first at a frequency 10-40% lower than that determined based on the differenceΔH, the dry vibrating sieve 6 is vibrated to start screening, and a ratio of prescribed grading or less becomes the object value, the frequency is returned to the determined one.
