PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To very easily and clearly probe the type, number, and arrangement state of embedded base materials, such as reinforcing bars, steel frames, bolts, and other fixings, which are embedded in a covering material, such as concrete in a structure. SOLUTION: In a structure, such as a building or a construct, in which base materials are embedded in a covering material C, such as concrete or an exterior member, a noncontact-type microchip 2 is embedded in each embedding base material 1, with the recording base material information such as the shape, size, and specifications; then after the embedding base material 1 has been covered with the covering material C, these pieces of base material information are read through the covering material C in a noncontact manner. The base material information thus read is compared and confirmed, with respect to separately recorded standard base material information on each embedding base material 1, so that construction information, such as the type and number of embedding base materials 1, is confirmed.
