摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire for sufficient mixing of color when a plurality of light emitting elements that emit light of different colors are used, and for suppressing area and thickness to reduce size. <P>SOLUTION: The luminaire 10 comprises an almost rectangular first lightguide 13, a second lightguide 12 which is arranged along any one side of the first lightguide and emits light to the first lightguide, and a plurality of light emitting elements 11 for emitting light of plurality of different colors to the second lightguide. The second lightguide is arranged to face the light emission surface of the light emitting element, and has such wedge shape as becomes narrower in width when coming away from the facing surface along the side. It guides the light emitted from the light emitting element along the side while dispersing it in the direction along the side so that the light is polarized in the propagation direction across the side. The first lightguide guides the light emitted from the second lightguide in the propagation direction while dispersing it in the propagation direction, so that the light is polarized in the emission direction across the side and the propagation direction, constituting a surface-type light source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
