<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a good transferability and image formability of the ink, thereby improving a printing quality by adjusting moisture content of ink on respective rollers in the printing unit of a printer. <P>SOLUTION: The printing machine includes an ink supply device 34 which provides an aqueous ink including a predetermined rate of moisture, an ink applying roller 33 which receives the aqueous ink from the ink supply device 34, a plate cylinder 32 which bears against the ink applying roller 33 and receives the aqueous therefrom, a blanket cylinder 31 which bears against the plate cylinder 32 and transfer the aqueous ink provided on the plate cylinder 32 to a web W as a picture, a cover 51 to cover the transferred part of the aqueous ink on the ink applying roller 33 as ink moisture content lowering means to lower the moisture content of the aqueous ink on the ink applying roller 33, and a dehumidification device 52 which eliminates moisture from a space covered by the cover 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
