Provided herein is a blank for forming a gift wrap with selectable height for difficult to wrap items containing a card panel for identifying the giver and the receiver or for writing a short note. The sheet or gift wrap may be used singly, or as combination collapsible gift box/sheet wrap, combination rigid jewelry box/sheet wrap, combination compact disc (CD)/sheet wrap, combination digital video disc or digital versatile disc (DVD)/sheet wrap, and combination video games (Wii, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, PSP Portable, and Nintendo with similar style containers and sheet wrap. The blank has an inner surface for forming the interior to receive an item and an outer surface for forming the exterior. The blank includes a center panel having a central portion, and opposed first side panels joined to the center panel along parallel first fold lines, each of the first side panels having an inner portion and an outer portion joined by a fold line, and tabs joined to opposite ends of the first expansion flaps along tab fold lines extending traverse to the second fold lines. The blank also includes opposed second side panels joined to the center panel along parallel second fold lines transverse to the first fold lines, each of the second side panels having an inner portion and an outer portion joined by a fold line. The card panel is located on the edge of the first or second side panel and can be removed or folded away. Different embodiments of the blank and assemblies for forming a sheet wrap are also provided.
