PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair capable of making a user stand up while hardly without making the user clean forward. SOLUTION: This chair in which a back part body 5 is erected on the rear end side of a base body 1 is provided with a seat part body 11 provided on the upper surface side of the base body 1, a linking mechanism 13 for connecting the seat part body 11 and the base body 1 and turning the seat part body 11 forward while elevating it by changing from a lodging state to a stand-up state, a gas spring 33 for energizing the linking mechanism 13 in a stand-up direction and a stopper member 38 and an operation wire capable of holding the linking mechanism 13 in the lodging state against energizing force by the gas spring 33 and releasing the holding state.
