PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for, even when an impact load occurs, continuously driving an electric motor unless a transmission failure is fatal.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device comprises: an electric motor imparting assist force to steering of a steering wheel of a vehicle; a speed reduction mechanism and a pinion shaft for transmitting the assist force of the electric motor to a rack shaft; a resolver and a motor rotation angle calculation part 36 for detecting a rotation angle of the electric motor; a motor rotation angle correction part 38 correcting a detected motor rotation angle Mθd detected by the resolver and the motor rotation angle calculation part 36 when transmission abnormality occurs in the speed reduction mechanism; and a two-axis three-phase conversion part 51 controlling the electric motor on the basis of a corrected motor rotation angle Mθc corrected by the motor rotation angle correction part 38.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
