PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote introduction of an introducing material into a biological cell while reducing damage given to the biological cell in executing sonoporation.SOLUTION: A transmission sequence of an ultrasound 18 for sonoporation includes a plurality of transmission periods Tand a plurality of stop periods Tin which transmission of the ultrasound 18 is stopped. In each transmission period T, a pulse wave period Tin which the ultrasound 18 is transmitted and a pause period Tin which transmission of the ultrasound 18 is paused are alternately repeated. The ultrasound 18 transmitted in each pulse wave period Thas acoustic pressure necessary for collapsing micro bubbles. For a time length of each pulse wave period T, a time length necessary for collapsing micro bubbles is set. Thus, the ultrasound 18 is intermittently transmitted in each transmission period T, so that a large number of micro bubbles can be collapsed while reducing acoustic energy that a biological cell receives from the ultrasound 18, that is, damage that the biological cell receives from the ultrasound 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
