摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for fast compensating for higher-order diffusion or band limitation on an optical add/drop device, according to a transmission route, when changing a transmission route of an optical signal in a WDM transmission system. <P>SOLUTION: A WDM transmission system includes an optical transmitter 1A or an optical transmitter 1B for sending out a modulated optical signal of one wavelength; optical add/drop devices 2A-2F for selectively passing, adding and branching optical signals in respective wavelengths of a WDM signal; a light receiving apparatus 3; an optical fiber 4 for transmitting the WDM signal; and a route monitoring section 5. The light receiving apparatus 3 includes a compensation amount control section 6 for controlling the optimal compensation amount, based on information of the optical add/drop device on a transmission route (path #1 or path #2) acquired by the route monitoring section; a compensator 7 of which the compensation amount is variable; and an optical receiver 8 for converting an optical signal of one wavelength into an electrical signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
