PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition for an artificial marble, excellent in productivity, without damaging a soft texture, transparency, weather resistance and processability which are characteristics of an acrylic artificial marble. SOLUTION: This resin composition for an artificial marble comprises (A) (meth)acrylic esters containing 0.1-20 wt.% cross-linkable monomer having two or more ethylenically unsaturated bonds in the molecule, and consisting essentially of methyl methacrylate, (B) a polymer obtained by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer consisting essentially of methyl methacrylate and containing carboxy group or hydroxy group, and having 10,000-2,000,000 average molecular weight, (C) an inorganic filler having 5-75μm average particle diameter, and (D) fine particles of silicic acid having >=30 m2/g specific surface area and containing silanol group.
