In a CDMA communication network, a first signal is transmitted from a base station to a mobile station, and a reply message is transmitted from the mobile station to the base station at the timing indicated by the first signal. At the base station, the actual timing of the reply message from the mobile station is repeatedly measured, and a timing signal repeatedly generated by detecting the timing difference between the measured actual timing and the expected timing of the reply message from the mobile station. The timing signal is repeatedly transmitted to the mobile station. Each mobile station comprises a repeatedly-adjustable delay circuit (53) for synchronizing an adjusted spread spectrum pattern accordingly. |
