PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key unit which is easily introduced without needing to install a tag reader, a communication function, a key shape change mechanism, and the like on a lock side, and a security key system.SOLUTION: A key unit 10 comprises: an ID reader 11 for reading both an article ID 41 corresponding to an article carried by a human and a lock ID 31 which a lock 20 has; a communication part 12 communicating with a server 50; and a key shape change mechanism 15. The communication part 12 transmits the article ID 41 and the lock ID 31 read by the ID reader 11 to the server 50, and the server 50 determines whether or not unlocking of the lock 20 is permitted for the combination of the article ID 41 and the lock ID 31. If it is determined that the unlocking is permitted, the server transmits key shape data corresponding to the lock ID 31. The communication part 12 receives the key shape data and the key shape change mechanism 15 forms a key shape corresponding to the received key shape data. |
