PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric propulsion system that implements control of preventing generation of imbalance between two battery voltages even in the case of operation of independently supplying power to two systems of power supply cable lines to suppress inrush current caused by imbalance between both battery voltages in shifting from both batteries' independent power supply operation to parallel power supply operation.SOLUTION: A control method for an electric propulsion system including two battery power supplies 1, 2 composed of rechargeable batteries, two propulsion motors 13, 14 that are mechanically coaxially coupled, two power converters 9, 10 for individually supplying power to the respective propulsion motors, two systems of power supply cable lines L1, L2 provided between the battery power supplies and the power converters, and switch devices 3, 4 for performing opening/closing between the two systems includes: a step of starting the propulsion motors by using the batteries' independent power supply operation; a step in which when a voltage difference has occurred between power reception voltages of the respective power converters, operation is performed while correcting load sharing of both of the propulsion motors so as to eliminate the voltage difference; and a step of performing operation while making both battery power supplies be in a parallel power supply state after the voltage difference has been eliminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
