PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush which makes the tip of bristles surely and easily applied to the teeth surface, while making the tips easily enter narrow parts, by giving the tip of bristles appropriate flexibility and rigidity and which also easily brings the bristles into surface contact with the teeth surface, improving effect of removing dental plaque, and avoiding hard feeling.SOLUTION: The bristles 14 constituting each tuft 15a, 15b have a circular or nearly circular cross section in the proximal end parts 14b' on an implantation base 11 side, and also have tapered bristles 14' having tapered parts 14a' on the tip end side which are formed to be narrower toward the tip ends. The shape of the cross section 14c' of the tapered parts 14a' on the tip end side is nearly square, nearly parallelogrammical or nearly rectangular. The tapered parts 14a' on the tip end side are formed in the 25% or longer region h1 on the tip end side of the tapered bristles 14'.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
