<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-hop method in a packet based radio system or the like, by which both extension of coverage range and increase of system capacity (throughput) are enabled. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a signalling method for use in sleep-mode signalling in a radio communication system, the system including a base station, a mobile station and at least one relay station. The signalling method includes steps of: transmitting a control signal relating to a sleep mode from the base station either directly or indirectly to the mobile station in first transmission; and transmitting the control signal or a corresponding control signal from the base station to at least one of the relay stations in the first transmission or in separate second transmission so that the relay station is able to configure its operation in accordance with the control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
