PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber-reinforcing fiber having improved adhesiveness to a rubber, in particular, improved peeling adhesion and rubber adhesion in peeling even in a high-temperature atmosphere as well as in a room temperature atmosphere. SOLUTION: An adhesion treatment agent including fine silica particles is applied to the surface of the fiber, and the silica particle has nonspherical form. Preferably, the length in the direction of major axis of the silica particle is 20-500 nm, the aspect ratio (major axis length/minor axis length) of the silica particle is 2-100, and the ratio of the silica particle attached to the fiber surface is 0.05-5 wt.% based on the weight of the fiber. Most preferably, the adhesion treatment agent is a resorcinol-formalin-latex based adhesive and the fiber is a polyester fiber or an aromatic polyamide fiber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
