<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell power generation system capable of making an installation space small by greatly reducing a volume of use of inert gas used at stoppage of power generation operation. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte fuel cell power generation system 100 includes: a cylinder 161 having one end connected through a connection valve 169a between a fuel gas exhaust part of a stack 111 and a connection valve 129c, having a piston 162 arranged inside and having an opening part 161a fitted at the other end; a cylinder 171 having one end connected through a connection valve 179a between an oxidant gas exhaust part of the stack 111 and a connection valve 139c, having a piston 172 arranged inside and having an opening part 171a fitted at the other end; and a resistor 181, a changeover switch 182 or the like prompting self-consumption of hydrogen gas 2 and oxygen gas 3 remaining inside the stack 111. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
