PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a cross sectional area varying in tensile test, with time and in a non-contact manner, regarding an object to be tested, set in a tensile test machine.SOLUTION: A cross sectional area measurement device 10 of an object subjected to tensile test includes: distance measurement means 13 of obtaining each internal distance Rn as a distance from a reference O positioned at the center of a predetermined cross sectional region A, for a plurality of positions Pn on peripheral portions in the cross sectional region A of an object T to be tested; and data processing means 14 of obtaining the area of the cross sectional region A on the basis of the respective internal distances Rn obtained by the distance measurement means 13. In the data processing means 14, in a state where the object T to be tested is set in a tensile test machine 11, the area of the cross sectional region A deformed by tensile test is obtained with time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
