PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device which can estimate an absolute humidity in suction air without using a novel sensor.SOLUTION: In an engine control device for controlling an engine having air-fuel ratio detection means arranged at an exhaust pipe, an intake pipe pressure sensor arranged at an intake pipe, fuel injection means for injecting fuel into the intake pipe or a cylinder, and a valve mechanism for adjusting a suction air quantity supplied to the cylinder, the engine control device comprises: air quantity detection means which detects the suction air quantity; fuel injection amount control means which controls a fuel injection amount injected by the fuel injection means; moisture content estimation means which estimates a moisture content in the suction air; and suction air quantity correction means which corrects the detected suction air quantity on the basis of the estimated moisture content. The fuel injection amount control means creates a correction amount of the fuel injection amount on the basis of a detected air-fuel ratio which is detected by the air-fuel ratio detection means, and the moisture content estimation means estimates the moisture content on the basis of the correction amount which is created by the fuel injection amount control means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
