GAP MEASURING DEVICE FOR EMERGENCY STOP DEVICE OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a gap dimension between a damper of an emergency stop device and a guide rail to be measured without requiring measuring operation by a measurer at a bottom part of a hoistway.SOLUTION: A gap measuring device 1 for an emergency stop device of an elevator measures a gap dimension A between a damper 3 of the emergency stop device holding a guide rail 2 guiding a shoe of a car of the elevator and the guide rail 2. The gap measuring device 1 comprises: a plate spring 4 being pressed by the damper 3 and guide rail 2 and elastically deformed; distortion detecting means 5 provided to the plate spring 4; and a signal processing part 6 computing the gap dimension A based upon a signal output from the distortion detecting means 5. Further, the gap measuring device 1 comprises a base plate 7 having a contact part 7a being fitted with the plate spring 4 and brought into contact with a guide part 2a of the guide rail 2 guiding the shoe of the elevator car and a mount part 7b being consecutively provided to the contact part 7a and mounted on a back-face part 2b of the guide rail 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
