<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which can suppress occurrence of curling, ensures good discharge reliability of the ink, and can suppress reduction in water repellency of an ink head. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition includes water, a colorant, a water-soluble organic solvent, a surfactant and a water-soluble silicate, the water-soluble silicate being comprised in an amount of 0.0001-0.5 mass% with respect to a total mass of the ink composition, and the water-soluble organic solvent including a water-soluble organic solvent having a value of solubility parameter (SP) of ≤27.5 in an amount of ≥40 mass% with respect to a total mass of the water-soluble organic solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
