The present invention relates to a static random access memory and a driving method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the static random access memory includes: two inverters coupled to and intersected with each other; a power gating unit prepared at a power end of at least one of the inverters to connect or cut off a power supply; and bit line access unit prepared between an output node of at least one of the inverters and a bit line.
