PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of a space between a roll member and an image carrier in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The roll member is constituted so that it is greatly deformed by being pressed between a core bar 110 and a photoreceptor drum 1 by lowering the hardness in both end parts 100a of a conductive elastic layer 101 (that is made easier to be deformed). On the other hand, since the hardness of a central part 100b is higher than that in the both end parts 100a, the amount of deformation is very small. Thus, even when the core bar 110 is bent to the same extent as is conventionally, since the bending is absorbed by the deformation of the conductive elastic layer, the outer periphery surface of the conductive elastic layer 101 is in contact with the photoreceptor drum 1 over the whole surface of a nip region and a space hardly occurs.
