<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an edge of a rotatable guide installed before transfer from coming into contact with a drum when a cartridge is inserted or extracted. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus which has a rotatable conveyance guide between a transfer means of transferring a toner image formed on a photoreceptor drum in an unloadable process cartridge onto a recording material and a recording material conveying means of conveying the recording material to the transfer means and is so configured that the rotation track of the conveyance guide interferes with the track of the photoreceptor drum when the process cartridge is loaded or unloaded, is characterized in that the process cartridge abuts against the conveyance guide while passing through the interference range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
