PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct a ruled line or cell automatically extracted from a form document image or the like. SOLUTION: The table data processing method comprises steps of generating a plurality of candidate cells from an image of a table containing a plurality of cells, extracting a specific combination of the candidate cells and outputting an initial table; receiving designation of a specific cell contained in the initial table as designation of a wrong cell from a user in the initial table; selecting candidate cells which can substitute at least a part of the designated wrong cell from the candidate cells except the specific combination to generate a candidate group, storing data of the candidate group in a storage device; and presenting the candidate group stored in the storage device to the user to prompt the user to select any one candidate cell contained in the candidate group.
