According to the present invention, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for degradation diagnosis of a photovoltaic module which can check degradation of the photovoltaic module. The method according to the present invention can calculate a degradation rate of a photovoltaic module, by including: an input step of being inputted with an output performance value of the photovoltaic module under operation; a temperature correction step of correcting the output performance value of the photovoltaic module into a correction value in accordance with a standard temperature; a solar radiation correction step of correcting the output performance value of the photovoltaic module into a correction value in accordance with a standard solar radiation; and a degradation rate calculation step of calculating the degradation rate of the photovoltaic module by comparing a corrected output performance value, which is a sum of the correction value in accordance with the standard temperature and the correction value in accordance with the standard solar radiation with a previously stored initial output performance value of the photovoltaic module.
