<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device in which its mechanical strength can be satisfied while trying to make it increasingly thinner, and a leaking light and a transmitting light from the light source device can be blocked if it is formed integrally with a light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: In a light source device 2 for launching a light on the incident end surface 11 of a light guide plate 10, one side of a lead frame is made as a top surface 5 in an upward side of an outcoming surface 3 of semiconductor light-emitting devices, and power supply terminals 7, 7b for supplying electric power to semiconductor light-emitting device chips are provided to be exposed at opposite positions to the upward side that becomes top surface 5 or at opposite positions to the outcoming surface portion 3.
