<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an image forming apparatus with simple structure which moderates a shock when thick recording paper rushes in a fixing press-contact part, thereby preventing image shift in a transfer press-contact part, and also suppresses rolling-in of thin paper to an image holding body when transferring an image to the thin paper. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: the transfer press-contact part N0 transferring an unfixed toner image held on the image holding body 21 to recording paper P; a heating roll 51 heating the unfixed toner image transferred to the recording paper P; a pressure roll 52 arranged to be opposed to the heating roll 51 and forming a fixing press-contact part N1 between the heating roll 51 and the pressure roll 52; and a fixing guiding member 55 guiding the recording paper P to the fixing press-contact part N1. Before the leading edge of the recording paper P reaches the transfer press-contact part N0, bend from recessed shape (negative) to projecting shape (positive) is properly formed on the leading edge of the paper in accordance with the thickness of the recording paper P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
