<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit radio waves even if an external device is connected. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile phone includes an antenna, an FM transmitter which outputs a signal for transmitting radio waves from the antenna, an earphone terminal 17 connected to the external device, a USB terminal 18 and a charging terminal, and a connection detector which detects whether the external device is connected to any of the earphone terminal, the USB terminal and the charging terminal.
