<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery that is highly reliable and provides high output power. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes a multilayer porous film as a separator, the multilayer porous film having a heat-resistant porous layer which contains heat-resistant particles as a main component, is 3 to 6 μm in thickness, and has a porosity of 55% or higher, and a resin porous film which contains a thermoplastic resin as a main component.
