<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the ability of expression in the display devices of the game machines. <P>SOLUTION: In the game machine, display devices such as a pattern lamp 370 are made up of a plurality of LEDs. The display of the display devices is controlled with a subcontrol board 300 according to the system command for specifying the patterns. A lamp drive board 350 having a plurality latches 352 is provided between the subcontrol board 300 and the display devices. The lamp drive board 350 houses the data outputted being divided into several portions from the output port of the subcontrol board 300 sequentially into the latches and outputs the data to the display devices when all are gathered. The pattern lamp 370 is controlled to light dynamically according to the data. At this point, the common signals are turned ON two at a time. With such an arrangement, even under the hardware-wise restrictions unavoidably imposed on the game machine, the number of colors and the degrees of contrast of the display devices can be increased while inhibiting bad effects such as worsened color balance and flickering. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
