<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a photocatalyst is preferably used in the state of finer powder in terms of organic matter decomposition speed, but it is difficult to immobilize and handle finer powder because the powder scatters in the wind and is swept away by water, so in order to immobilize the powder, a mixture of the powder with resin or paint is applied on a substrate or a mixture of the powder with a solvent is impregnated into paper or resin, however, in this method, since the photocatalyst is coated with resin, the function of the photocatalyst itself is deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: In order to provide a binder-free granular photocatalyst material having high mechanical strength, a photocatalyst material is wet-molded without using a binder and obtained moldings are dried by heating to provide a granular photocatalyst having such hardness as to ensure easy handling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
