HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE, AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure seldom broken between an adhesive layer and a sealant layer, even after repeating heat cycles like a regeneration treatment over a long period.

SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure is formed by providing the sealant layer around a ceramic block formed by binding a plurality of columnar sintered honeycomb bodies with a lot of cells longitudinally juxtaposed across cell walls via the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer and sealant layer are integrally formed, with no boundary face sectioning the two.
